  • B094B 08, B094C 08 - Signal Performance
  • B094B 45, B094C 45 - Variant Not Programmed
  • B094B 54, B094C 54 - High Temperature
  • B094B 58, B094C 58 - Performance

Actions Taken When the DTC Sets

  • B218 Side Object Sensor Module = Inoperative
  • Driver Information Center Display - Display "Service Side Detection System" Message

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The conditions for setting the DTC no longer exist.

Diagnostic Aids

If DTC B094B 58 is set or DTC B094C 58 is set. - Remove any snow, ice or mud from the vehicle. Also verify the fascia panels in near the radar are damage-free and not obstructed by any add-on accessories such as emblems, etc.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode.

2. Verify DTC B094B 45/B094C 45 is not set.

  • If the DTC is set
  1. Program the control module: B218 Side Object Sensor Module
    • Verify the DTC does not set.

      If the DTC is set

    • Replace the appropriate component: B218 Side Object Sensor Module
  2. Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
  3. All OK.
  • Go to next step: If the DTC is set

3. Verify DTC B094B 00, B094C 00, B094B 08, B094C 08, B094B 54, B094C 54 is not set.

  • If the DTC is set

Replace the appropriate component: B218 Side Object Sensor Module

  • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set

4. Verify DTC B094B 58/B094C 58 is not set.

  • If the DTC is set

Verify the following conditions do not exist:

  • Visible Damage
  • Dirty
  • If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
  • If no conditions exist - Replace the appropriate component: B218 Side Object Sensor Module
  • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set

5. All OK.
