DTC P2808

Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 7 Stuck Off - Hydraulic/Mechanical Problem

Circuit/System Description

The pressure control solenoid valve 7 is used to apply the C1 clutch during an autostop event. If the control module K71 detects the following conditions, DTC P2808 will set:

  • Engine speed flare-up
  • Incorrect gear ratio

Conditions for Running the DTC

  • K71 Transmission Control Module=Communication Enabled
  • Transmission Gear=1, 2, 3
  • Transmission OSS=Less than 200 RPM
  • Transmission Range=Drive

DTC runs continuously when the above conditions are met for greater than 2 s.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

Gear Ratio=Incorrect - More than 11 times.

Actions Taken When the DTC Sets

DTC P2808 is a Type C DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTC P2808 is a Type C DTC.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode.

2. Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following system/component:

  • Transmission ISS
  • Transmission OSS
  • If other DTCs are set

Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle

  • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set

3. Verify the condition does not exist:Incorrect fluid level or condition. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check

  • If a condition exists

Repair or replace as necessary.

  • Go to next step: If no condition exists

4. Clear the DTCs.

5. Perform the configuration/reset function: Refer to Learned Values Reset.

6. Road test the vehicle. Refer to Road Test.

7. Verify DTC P2808 is not set.

  • If any of the DTCs are set.

Replace the component: Control Valve Body Assembly

  • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set

8. All OK.
